I place people globally in mid to senior levels of management for both Oilfield Service Companies and Oil Companies (Upstream).
A brief list of accomplishments includes placing COO of Key Energy Services, CEO's and COO's of Shell Technology Ventures; Senior Subsea Advisor as well as Director of Drilling and Completion (Corporate Level) Hess; President of Weatherford International (two division Presidents placed); Vice President, Aker Engineering; President of Hughes Tool Company; President of Baker-Hughes Tubular; Vice President Corporate Marketing of Sperry Sun (now a Halliburton company); all Vice Presidents, Directors and Technical Staff at Cameron Offshore, Inc., a subsidiary of Cameron; VP Engineering Drilling Products and also VP’s of Completion Products, Tubular Services, Pressure Pumping and Artificial Lift at Weatherford, and Vice President Human Resources, Chief Financial Officer, Director International Tax, Chief Technology Officer and Vice President Drilling and Intervention Services (as well as Marketing and Product Line Managers) at Weatherford. At National Oilwell (now Aker Kvaerner) placed the entire Wellhead staff (management and technical) for both Subsea and Conventional business worldwide.
I had been on retainer to the Chairman of the Board, President and Vice Presidents of Cameron for five years as both their exclusive Search Consultant and Management Consultant on special projects, worldwide. This assignment came on the heels of a ten-year exclusive with Vetco Offshore and all Oil and Gas divisions of Combustion Engineering (now G.E.). I was retained by the Chairman of Weatherford for all key positions worldwide and remained on Corporate Retainer for ten years, through over ten billion dollars revenue growth. I continue my longstanding relationship with the company, staffing all divisions.
Other accomplishments include placing the Executive Vice President & General Counsel at Gulfmark Offshore; COO Express Energy Services; Vice President Coiled Tubing Intervention, VP Operations and VP Global Sales and Marketing at Key Energy Services; President ExproAmericas; V.P. Casing Drilling, Tesco, General Manager Europe, Caspian and W. Africa, Tesco, V.P Topside Facilities, Technip;President, Cooper Cameron Controls; Vice President-Operations, Triten Corporation; President Balmoral U.S.A.; Vice President Manufacturing and Chief Financial Officer, Input/Output; Vice President Operations, Digicon; Director Engineering, Baker Oil Tools; Business Development Manager, Baker Oil Tools; Vice President Engineering, Dresser Oil Tools; Vice President, Marketing, Dresser Oil Tools; and high level people at Schlumberger, Smith International, Varco, FMC, Transocean, Halliburton and many other Oilfield Service companies.
Overseas searches have included Managing Directors in London, Paris, Aberdeen, Norway, Mexico City, Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil, Singapore, Austria, Jakarta, Canada, Russia,Western Siberia and Africa. I have contacts and work in every country where Oil is produced.
Major Oil companies such as Shell, ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips, BP, Marathon and Chevron consult with me on the current status of experts for technology, both on and offshore.
I completed an assignment for the President of National Oilwell to reconstruct and control the business strategy of the Wellhead division as the consulting General Manager, increasing revenues from $35 MM to $85 MM in the first year.
I have graduated six industry engineering schools and been offshore three times. I am the recipient of the Outstanding Achievement in the Oil Industry Award presented by ASME and UofH at OTC 2006, as well as the 1998 recipient of the University of Houston Distinguished Engineering Alumni Award (an honorary award in recognition of my contributions to the Oil industry and the University scholarship funds). I also hold a degree from the University Of California (UCLA).
I was retained by the President of Halliburton to secure key positions at the Vice President level. The first completed assignment was Vice President Human Resources (22,000 employees; $3 billion revenue). The second completed assignment was Vice President Global Sales ($3 billion revenue, 100 countries). I also completed the assignment for Director of Technology Worldwide.
I placed a Major Oil Company executive as President of a Billion dollar division of Schlumberger (Exploitation and Asset management of Oil company projects) which is a first time event for them to go outside for an executive at this level. I was awarded an exclusive to staff this division with several hundred professional people worldwide, all with Oil Company experience. I also placed a former Mobil executive as Vice President of North and South America ($4 Billion Division) for Schlumberger as well as staffing the top positions for their Deepwater Center of Excellence. I continue to work in both the E&P sector as well as for the Service companies, globally.
